Thank you for the upgrade to Nikon's OEM Camera Control utility. Thank you ! Rob ErtĮxcellent, for the basic tethering I want to do this seems to work just fine, A great alternative and cash saver. digiCamControl, an opensource camera controlling software with functions such as exposure, focusing, live view, focus stacking and time lampse, etc. This software is great, amazing that its free, deserves a Paypal donation for sure.

The challenge is that I can't figure out how to make either of these function as a webcam source on the PC. In addition, the camera has a live video output via the HDMI port.
They include Nikon D3000, Nikon D3100, Nikon D3200, Nikon D3300, Nikon D3400, Nikon D3500. The D3300 can put out live video via the USB port, as I can see this on the PC screen when using the Lv mode on the digiCamControl application on the PC. Second, if you plan to stream with SparkoCam software, there are a few Nikon models that won’t work. Great program, used for focus stacking on the Nikon d90 with awesome results!
